Our Rental bikes consists of top quality Trek Verve+ 3, Powerfly 4 and Allant+ e-bikes. Our bikes are regularly serviced so you can enjoy your ride without worry. We do have some regular bikes for those who enjoy pain and suffering.

Trek Ebikes are powered by Bosch Systems. They work by amplifying your efforts. Some of our bikes are more powerful than others. You must be willing to ride a bike - but the hills wont be nearly as hard.

Policies / FAQ’s:

1. We do not rent children’s bikes or bikes with carriers. Salt Spring is not the safest riding for little ones.

2. You will be riding on narrow, somewhat busy country roads. Ideally, you have somewhat of a cycling skill set and are comfortable around vehicles. Salt Spring does not have bike lanes, except in parts of downtown.

3. The best time to ride on Salt Spring is the morning and late afternoon / evening. Overall you want to AVOID the main road (Fulford-Ganges Rd) to Fulford. Its very busy and lacks much side of the road. The quieter side roads can be lovely. Ferry routes are busy. See our recommended routes adjacent.

4. Helmets are mandatory and the law here in BC. We will not rent to riders who wont wear a helmet.

5. We have bright vests, and lights available, for those who wish to have a higher level of visibility.

6. Minimum Rental age is 16 with parental permission.

7. Hybrid bikes come with racks and panniers. Some MTN bikes do not.

8. Recommend routes:

   1. North End to Fernwood Dock - leave town on Upper Ganges Rd, Visit the Woodshed, follow Upper Ganges to Central, right on North End Rd, past the lake, right on Fernwood. From the Dock its a choose your own adventure. Some of our favourites: Fernwood dock, Hen and Hound farm stand, North End Farm, Southy Point (In the most Northern tip… go figure), Fraser’s Thimble Farms Nursery (lovely spot),Sunset Beach, Vesuvius Beach, St Mary Lake, the Cidery, and Kutastas Vineyard.

   2. South End Route to Ruckle - Up Ganges Hill to Beddis Rd, follow until Cusheon Lake Rd, hang a Right, then a left on Stewart. That will take you to the wonders of the South Island. Some of our Favourite spots: The SS Cheese Factory (must see), Ruckle Park Trails, Barb’s farm stand on Beaver Point Rd, the Tsawout Nation Reserve on Menhenik, and Cusheon Lake.
